Man by trading for KG the Celtics automatically is a playoff bound, like the 3rd or 4th best team in the East. You only give up one really good player in Al Jefferson and an ok player in Gomes. Now you got players full of all stars in KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce wow if you don't make the playoff with these players on your team, you need to find a new coach get rid of Doc Rivers. So i think the Celtics GM Danny Ainge is doing a great job to gets all these players and give up very little.

Because the Celtics have been in a re-building mode for a decade or more without results. the owners want to give the fans something to cheer about for a change. I'm happy over this and Garnett is a Celtics type player!

It would have been nice to keep Gomes but think of it like this, Al Jefferson might be a good player someday, but there is no way he will ever be close the KG on defense, the rest of the guys are bench players. Garnett is an All-star, MVP, hall of fame player who is only 31.
The Celts will be better after this trade.

Well they have the makings of an all star team, between payton and garnett the Celtics should go deep into the playoffs, My main concern is if they can play together. But as far as the future its not looking good three or four years down the road when they win a ring and retire. But thats what they want, I hope it works out for them.

The Timberwolves are not between the cornerstone franchises of the NBA. The Lakers, Knicks, and the Celtics are. while those franchises are prevailing titles or a minimum of are in rivalry, human beings watch and care. it particularly is nice for Garnett and good for the NBA. The T-Wolves can bypass returned to mediocrity, the days of Isiah Rider and Christian Laetnner.

I don't know if I would have traded Al Jefferson, but everyone else involved is expendable...Dude, they've been at the bottom of the NBA for a few years and they are the most storied team in the NBA...They had to do something...They are now instant contenders...I'm not saying NBA Title this year...but NBA Finals is possible...

The Celtics success this year will depend on what the spread is and which refs are working the game.
