When my hubby proposed, he did it in his own time. We bought the ring in July cos I loved it as soon as I saw it, but he hid it and said that just cos we had the ring didn't mean he was going to propose straight away, he would do it when he was ready.
He did propose eventually, and I knew it was because he was absolutely ready and not because I wanted it and he felt pressured.
I'm sure he will do it in his own time.

Well perhaps he IS in fact looking for rings, but I know from looking at rings with my fiancee, there is so much to learn and the good quality ones are VERY expensive, at least 5,000.
Just tell him that he means everything to you, and ask him straight out if he wants to be with you forever, marriage, children. If he says yes and treats you well, then just casually say you hope you guys can be engaged within a year. This way it makes it clear to him that you expect a proposal, but it does not put that much pressure on him...after that don't mention it again or he will think thats all you care about.
Patience, and you will have a beautiful ring.

Give him the proper conditions. Make a date for a nice restaurant and make it a formal affair or arrange for a walk in a secluded but beautiful spot.

he might be waiting for the right time. You can not force him to ask you to marry him. just wait for a while then bring it up and talk about it it will not hurt to talk about it

Maybe he's working out aplan to surprise you. Be patient. It won't feel so special if you force him into it.
