I'm just wondering why people seem to hate Toyota and Nissan and all so much for? People act like they're part of some terrorist group or something, and that you must get "American made" vehicles. I don't know if they've noticed but all the so called "American" companies are opening their factories over seas and costing thousands of Americans their jobs. And that Toyotas are actually made in the states! Not only that but these "American" made cars just don't hold up like their japanesse counterparts, at least from my own exp. So I'd just like to know what yall think! Thanks for any answers!

O so who's getting the money? It's not America's working class, it's the CEOs and all the "important people". As jobs leave the avg. joe like myself is the one that gets hurt, and those high class people don't give a crap. But at least the import companies are trying to give people jobs here, and I think that's a little more important than what company makes more money. I'm not saying all domestics are bad, I love the F-series and the new Silverados, the Mustang is great and I can't wait for the new Camaro and Challenger. But imports just seem to be surpassing domestic cars as far as how long they last and their overall quality, not to mention fuel economy.

And I'm sorry but if a Toyota dosn't last you, you must not be able to take care of a car. I have my grandfather's 1979 Toyota Pickup and it still runs perfectly! No matter how long it just sits there or what I do to it, it just won't quit! To me that's something of a miracle, also considering that half the truck is rust!

where it is made is less important than which country's economy profits from the sale...
i am disappointed by American companies that move production operations out of the country to save a few cents.
some things are much more important to me than the bottom line...

as for quality i have been a total gear head 40+ years
i have yet to see a foreign car that could match fit finish and durability of the American cars...

granted all makers turned out some real junk in the early 80's and late 70's....i blame it on mismanagement combined with some misguided politicians passing very bad laws..

they were much like the fools we have in office today

As an American I think Americans (USA) should be supporting products that are made here (what little is left) and companies that are based here. Yes it's true that some imports are made here but the companies aren't based here so most of that money leaves. Also it really pisses me off that people will call anything made in America (USA) crap but will say imports are the greatest things on earth! I know people who have never even owned a car but will swear up and down that imports are the best. Whatever!

I hate Toyota's and i will never buy one again. It has been one of the sorriest cars i have ever owned. It is suppose to be one of the best built do not believe it. I can go on and on and it would more then likely take a least a page or two. To make this short out of all the cars that i have owned. I am on about my 8th car now. This car is keeping me in the poor house and my mechanic can now take a nice vacation. Out of all the cars have i have had i have neversunk so much money into one car like i have this one. That is why i hate Toyotas and will never ever buy one again.

It's about loyalty and living in the USA and supporting each other, if foreign made cars are better why don't you live in that country? You have a choice and that's fine but don't criticize American car makers.

The burgeoning trade deficit has many people all confused and worried. I feel guilty buying an imported shirt at ONE FOURTH the domestic version price.
