I believe the real question here is if the world can change at all, let alone in one generation. Do you believe the world has ever changed since the dawn of man? I don't believe so. The problems we have today (war, gap between poor and rich, racism) are the same problems we have always had. We can't ever change this because people as a whole will never change. Man is the same now as he ever has been. But lets look at it in a different way. Say we truly wanted to solve any of these problems, the solution is the same for all of them. We would have to get rid of free will. By not giving people to choice to kill, to make war, not keep their wealth we solve the problem. But no one really likes that answer, even if it was somehow possible. Freewill is what defines mankind.
The world we live in isn't great, but its not hell ether. We will never stop hate, fear, destruction just like we will never stop love, kindness, creation. The world isn't really our problem, its takes care of itself. The best we can do individualy is make the best of our life and help those around us the best we can.

Well if you could kill off everyone who doesn't agree with you then all the remaining people alive on earth all have kids at the same time eliminate all evil and just keep evil or bad things away maybe for awhile but then it will start reverting because of things like jealousy,greed,lust....blah,blah,blah. Realize this wont happen and just try be a good person and try to instill the right morals on your youngsters.

Highly impossible because no one in this world will do the herculean task in eliminating the human race and start anew. It will always remain as an image form in the mind. The generation today will just continue to improve the technology but not the conflict. So long as there are opposing views nothing will come to an end. God can only tell!

No.
But our minds can be;
And although we have learned since we were little babies
we have Not learned, really, that learning-from-our-mistakes
is crucial to,our world,and the next(next = a better world).
Just one example; if every country had (even a bad) limit
on their population growth, would not this contribute massively
in helping them all to stop crime, and war, and Poverty(and immigration). (Of course,"our" politicians would not risk asking the above and businesses and its few benefactors would plan against it too,as profits Would Not grow,or-so-they-think!).

If only! But, what a wonderful dream you were having. Sometimes there is no choice if a child is miswired. If all children could come from loving homes and have no mental or physical problems, then we would be in that fictional place; Utopia, isn't it?

bad isn't necessarily coded into our dna,
bad doesnt technically exist
because good and bad were formed out of
people's opinions of what
"doing the right thing" is.
one thing in one society may be an everyday
occurence but in another it may be consider wrongful.
like the importance of not eating pork to muslims
opposed to other religions.
anyways,
what im trying to say is that
the world will never be changed for
the better because
regaurdless of how one person percieves
perfection or "better"
another will see it as the opposite.
