I think the Raiders need to sign Dante Culppeper and from what i been hearing his knee is completely heal. You can't ignore his talent, sign him to that 2 years contract and the money is not guarantee any way in football, you can always cut him next year if his knee is not heal. The Raiders can win like 9 games and make the playoff with him as their QB went he's healthy, which he is, you don't give up any pick for him, he was release by the Dolphins. And he can teach Russel and tutor him for a couple of years. I don't think McCown is that good anyway, he's not gonna lead you to the playoff but Culppeper will.

Josh is a scrambling and running QB, and a good one! You don't want a limping QB in Culpepper to teach Russel anything. Culpepper was only great at one time, when he had a young Moss to throw it up to.
It would be a waste of money. Josh McCown is going to light up the scoreboard, and with that Raider Defense, I wouldn't be surprised if they won 8 games easily.
Raiders will make the playoffs , if McCown stays healthy. Don't forget, right now Josh doesn't even have a scratch on him. And is well rested from being in Detroit last year.
Get a 50 inch DLP and hd sat. Get ready for one hell of a season in Oakland.
Best game of week 1 will be...............................
Detroit @ Oakland! You look out for both these teams this year!

Well the reason they are considering Culpepper is because Russel hasn't signed with the Raiders yet. Culpepper is being used as a safety wire in case Russell and the Raiders don't get a deal worked out.

If they sign Culpepper will allow them to see what Russel will be like after a few years in the league. They have very similar skills. Let Josh start. He is a good QB although the Lions didn't use him except as a WR last season.

Why would you want Culpepper to teach Russell anything? Culpepper is hardly a well polished vet QB. Culpepper still struggles himself with basic QB skills so what could he teach Russell? Bad habits is about all.

as far as QB's go culpepper would be a good teacher to Rusell, instead of just tossing him out there mid season with a terrible record, he'll be eaten alive if that happens
