Me and my family want to go on a trip before schools out but don't know where to go. We have been to Universal, Disney, and Six Flags and don't want to go there this year. Seeing in the news about the recent injuries due some of the rides....... I would really rather go to an amusment park with good shows or rides other than Scream machines and rollercoasters. (Ex: Spider in Universal) If you have any suggeston please post it and if you could the site as well. Thanks ( I live in the southwestern area near Georgia)

lets see since you seem to be close to florida and that is what i know about...

Sea World. mostly shows. there are only really three, maybe four rides. lots of animals. the shows are both animal shows with some acrobatics, etc.

Cypress Gardens. an older park with some shows. i know that they had some concerts over the summer. you might want to check out their website.

Bush Gardens Africa. this is in tampa bay. there are rides, shows and animals.

now you could just get away and find a nice hotel and spend time with your family or just go to water parks or other attractions. (like dinner shows, etc).

Branson, Missouri has tons of great shows, amusement parks and basically everything. Some shows/parks there: Dixie Stampede (show), Silver Dollar City (park), Celebration City (park), Broadway (show), Ride the Ducks (show/ride on a vehicle/boat), Showboat (show/river boat ride), and so on. Great fun for everyone. Check it out online.

Kennywood Park. It is near Pittsburgh, PA. It is one of the oldest parks in the country, but gets updated every year.

Waldemeer Park, near Erie, PA.

Hershey Park, near Hershey, PA. And you can get some factory fresh Hershey candy there.

if your willing to go that far, Geauga lake in Aurora ohio. it costs only $26 and you get admission to both the amusement park and the water park. they have a lot of shows, some coasters, and a REALLY good water park. its really a good value and a good fun time

Why don't you try Busch Gardens. It's in Tampa I think. There's roller coasters and shows so you're getting the best of both worlds
