Only you can convince someone to get you a Mac. You can drop hints to your family. I don't know what your families financial situation is but if you have a large family that all would pitch in, try that route. Other than that, consider taking up a part time job and purchase it yourself (maybe with some birthday cash).

It is greener, Leopard owns Vista, sleek design, comes with a Ipod, runs OSX, Windows, and Linux, and macs are batter than everything else. Just say that.

Not me.... I would never own a mac. As a matter of fact, I just gave one away (to someone I don't care for much)
