I had sex the day after my period without a condom because they say it's a "safe" day. Though there is no real day where it's impossible, I know it's less likely the day after. And earlier that day actually, I had a little brownish spotting from the post period stuff. So technically, it was the 6th day of my period (which I don't usually have) and I don't know if I can count that as the last day of my period or the day after residue. Also, after we had sex I started bleeding a tad more, not from being cut or torn during sex but from more period stuff and it lasted until the next evening (spotting and such). Any insight on if that meant my period was continuing on because of the sex and if I could still get pregnant from what I did? I know this is long but..HELP!

It just depends. Each woman has a different ovulation cycle. It can be before, during or after your period. The only way to find out is to do an ovulation test to see when you do.

As for the spotting, usually when the flow stops enough to where you don't use a tampon or pad, we think it's over. But, there is still some coming out, just in lighter quantities. The brown stuff and bleeding after sex is probably just the rest of it being brought out by the penetration. It happens to me if I have sex at the end of my period.

You could still get pregnant. Always use protection.

There are a lot of reasons you could be. If this was anovulatory bleeding (bleeding without ovulation) and not an actual period (Bleeding after ovulation) (and it's near impossible to tell the difference between the two without lots of bloodwork), ovulation can occur at any time.

If your periods are regular and consistent, chances are lower that you could be pregnant, but there is still a chance. Sperm can live up to 5 days. If you have an early ovulation (day 11), it would be possible for the sperm and egg to join.

Try not to freak out about it. Test if your period is late.

And ALWAYS use a condom!!

you may get pregnant at any time, although, some days are greater volatile than others. promptly after a era may be volatile as you have already produced the subsequent egg and around 5 days after the tip of a era is once you're maximum fertile. in case you do fall pregnant in the present day after a era it will develop the possibilities of a being pregnant in the falopean tube because of the fact the egg continues to be interior the tube. the way it works is that as quickly as you start up your era, you will produce an egg. It takes 10 days (around 5 days after the era) for the egg to realize and restoration to the liner of your womb. The egg maintains to be linked to the womb for around 10 further days and whether this is no longer fertilised interior of that element, the womb starts off to reject that egg. After a further 6 days, you will bleed lower back because of the fact the rejected egg and all of the blood that has geared up up is ejected out of your physique and the cycle maintains.

If the egg was not expelled you could have gotten pregnant. There are no truly ‘safe’ days, if you do not want to get pregnant then use a reliable birth control, like the pill backed up with a condom, or do not have sex.

The extra bleeding was most likely the extension of your period.

that happend to me a few times id start like spotting again after wards and normally no you cant get pregnant the day you get off or the next day because your body is still going through the finishing stage of your cycle. Usually you dont get pregnant till about 14 days after the start of your period because thats when you ovulate. Just becareful and safe.....

who ever "they" is is wrong. There are no safe days during your cycle. You can ovulate any day, although most women ovulate the same day every cycle, but EVERYONE has a fluke.

I got pregnant by having sex on my period. I now have the worlds most perfect child.

its not the best way to make babies, but it certainly isnt impossible.

You can also get pregnant right before your period, bleed like usual while the ovum is still in the felopian tube.

I suggest not having sex until you get some more education, and better birthcontrol skills.

My husband and i did the same and I ended up pregnant. and we weren't trying either. Now i'm not sure if its the same for everyone but know it can happen.
I think the bleeding is really just blood from your period that pulled out(shaken loose?) Mine did the same. don't worry to much just check when i feel u need too.
>< hope this helps somewhat.

you can get pregnant any time. before, during, or after your period. theres no safe day. you can even get pregnant while nursing or on the pill. you should always practice safe sex, then you wouldnt have to ask questions like these.

I heard that you can but I have had sex up to four days after my period without protection and I haven't gotten pregnant yet. Though if you were still bleeding even if just spotting I believe your safe.

I'm sure you were at the end of your period, but it is definitely possible to get pregnant still. Be careful, and good luck.
