My daughter is 4 months old, and exclusively nursing. My cycle hasn't returned yet, but I did bleed for three days two months ago. The only symptom I have is a little bit of woosiness. I'm wondering what other some of the signs of pregnancy are while nursing.

some of the symptoms would be soreness when nursing, feeling like you're not making enough milk and not satisfying your child's hunger. Feeling like your child is sucking and not getting anything. Also your child may not want to nurse because the flavor of the milk will change and become "sour" to her.

By exclusively nursing you should mean that she gets no bottles, pacifiers, or other artificial means of sucking. Also no baby food of any kind at this point, (I know she's getting old enough to have food). If your child has gotten any of these on a regular basis it could trigger your body to start ovulating again sooner than you would have expected.

While you are nursing, your body produces the same hormones that allow you to carry your baby to term, so an OTC pregnancy test would not be the most accurate. If you were to start taking the pill this would surpress these hormones and stop your milk production.

The bleeding 2mos. ago is a normal process, it is your uterus cramping during nursing. It doesn't happen all the time and not to everyone either.

Yes, it is possible for a person to ovulate while exclusively nursing, and you could be a person this has happened to. However, these cases are rare.

Take a test. The symptoms are the same no matter what. My husband's aunt got pregnant twice while breastfeeding because she thought she couldn't get pregnant, but that has been proven to be false thousands of times. His aunt ended up having 3 boys all very close in age.
