I understand the concept, I think - but I have never yet managed to successfully and correctly complete a puzzle.

Yeah, I do. It's great logical thinking and it's pretty cool. I took an elective in school with logical thinking and we did a lot of Sudoku puzzles.

LOL What's to understand It's a grid of numbers 9x9 subdivided into 3x3 where the numbers aren't repeated, a bit like join the dot's

It is easy when you know how :
Fill all empty squares so that the numbers 1 to 9 appear once in each row, column and 3x3 box.

Sudoku is gay. I never wanted to do math homework in high school, why would I want to do it for recreation?

You just have to fit the numbers 1 - 9 in each row and column, only using each number once in each row and column

I hate those darn puzzles!! I bought books that are supposed to teach how to do them. To no avail. So into the burn barrel they went!
