Okay I have a few questions about Star Wars Episodes IV, V ,VI

1.Why did Ben (Obi Wan) Kenobi not recognize R2-D2 and C3PO if he is often seen with them in Episodes I, II, and III?
2.Why did Kenobi say that Anakin wanted Luke to have his lightsaber if Anakin (Darth Vader) did not know he had a son?
3.Why did Kenobi say he was trained by Yoda when he was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn?
4.Why did Leia say she remembers her mother if Padame dies when she is only minuets old in Episode III?

Okay now a question about Episodes II and III

1.When did C-3PO become gold? He is silver in Episode II and gold in episopde III. Why was he gold?

Question #3 Obi Wan was trained by Qui-Gon Jinn. After Qui-Gon died Obi Wan killed Darth Maul and was promoted to Jedi Knight he then took Anakin Skywalker as his apprentice. Yoda never train Obi Wan, Obi Wan's training was complete when he killed Maul and was promoted to Jedi Knight.

Question #1 (C-3PO)

I know they painted him but why did they paint him?

#1 Lucas probably didn't think he was going to make a prequel, the not remembering part that other people answerd is out of the question because Obi-Wan was a jedi master and would not forget a droid that save his life on several occasions.

#2 Remember most things Obi-wan told luke about the past were true "from a certain point of veiw" So you would think Anakin would want his son to have his lightsaber.

#3 All Jedi In the last 6 or 7 hundred years were trained by Yoda.

#4 She meant Bail Organas wife.

last one i believe the answers are in jedi quest series.

ok question1 - in the star wars universe ther are so many droids that it would be concieveable that r2 and 3po were droids with a different number like r5 or r4 so there would be no way to be certain even though he had spent time with them before and the last he had heard of 3po was that he was to have his memory erased. it is possible that he did recognize them but with the amount od droids out there he probably just figured that these were other droids.

question 2 - ben wanted to train luke in the ways of the force and teach him to be a jedi, and luke was still an impressionable teenager. so telling him that his father was killed by an evil jedi and that he wanted luke to become a jedi for the light side, was how ben thought it would be easiest for luke to agree to learn. luke origionally wanted to join the local starship acadamy and become a liscensed pilot to haul shipments off tatooine. by convincing him that becoming a jedi was what he was meant to do, ben could train luke in the ways of the force and start his destiny.

question 3 - obi wan was trained as a padawan by qui-gon that is true but if you watch obi wan becomes a jedi knight at the end of episode 1 when the council grants it to him. by the time episode 2 happens he is a master and a member of the council. he was trained since that time by yoda, and in turn obi wan was training anakin. so he was truthful when he said he was trained by yoda, he just didn't mention qui-gon.

question 4 - think that this one was origionally to have happened different, but what can ya say no one is perfect. theoretically it could be blamed on the fact that leia also has the force and as a child she could have sensed her mother through the force and that is where her memories come form, but that was never delved into.

episode 2 and 3 question 1 - he was always gold it is just that he was incredibly dirty and tarnished from living in tatooine's desert there was no point in shmi (anakin's mother) polishing 3po since he would just go back outside and get dirty again so he had years of tarnish and dirt build up on him and he appeared silver. after he is taken to coruscant in episode 3 he was able to be cleaned and polished and his true color came out. his color tarnishes easily however, if you look in episode 5 after he was blown apart and r2 is re-attaching his leg, it is also silver in color from all of the dirt and grime in the junk pile where chewie found him.

hope this helps

1) He did recognize R2D2. When he first sees him, look at the expression on his face. Just because he didn't say anything, doesn't mean he didn't remember them.

2) Essentially, Kenobi lied to him. Luke was not ready for the truth.

3) Yoda trains all of the young jedis, then they are assigned their mentor jedi. So Obi Wan was trained by both of them at some point.

4) I've had a problem with this one too. Remember though, it is only a sad image that she remembers, nothing really specific. Perhaps it has something to do with the Force.

1) He was upgraded...I don't know why.

He did recognize them but did not say anything to recall the droids memory.

If anikin had known he had a son and was not a sith he would have wanted Luke to have his Light Saber.

He was trained by Yoda before he became Qui-Gons padawan

Leia's eyes were wide open when she was born and had a chance before Padme died.

In episode II he was silver until the end of the movie. He gets new plating after the battle of Geonosis. That is why he is gold.

this is my info.

1. For one thing, it had been many, many, many years. It is not like they were best friends or anything. To Ben, R2-D2 was just another droid. Do you remember every single toy or gadget you ever owned?

2. He was trying to convince Luke to come with him, without giving too much away about his past. Connecting him to his father was a means of persuasion, but he did not want to tell him the truth about his father.

3. Remember that Qui-Gon Jinn died. Who do you think finished his training?

4. She was just wrong. She was thinking of her adopted mother. She probably didn't know that she was adopted, and if she did, she would still remember her adopted mother as her real mother.

5. They repainted him. Why else?

For the C-3PO question, they mention in episode 2 that since he was now the property of Padme, he needed look nice since he belonged to a Senator. Thats why in episode three he shows up all gold.

Because Lucas forgot about the script and the story when he created that trash called IV, V, & VI. He spent more time worrying about special effects that he forgot about the plot and contiunity.
