Yes. He's not. I won't waste my time on all the ways he's not.. he would've been in my top 50 had not turned into what he has.. as it is, I would take Craig Grebeck over him.
He has had one good postseason series. He's an established choker. He's a colossal egotist who has always put forth the effort when he felt like it, and hasn't when he didn't feel like it. He's a horrible teammate- there's a reason why his fingers have no rings on them.

Barry Bonds WAS argueable the greatest every tool player to ever play. Barry Bonds may have hit more home runs starting about 2000 (thanks to his friends "Cream" and "Clear") but made himself into a 1 dimensional player.
9 Gold Gloves and without much arguement the best defensive Left Fielder EVER before the 'roids. None and a defensive liability (cause he couldn't move anymore) after.
He stole 69 bases 1999 after, and 445 up to 1998.
Barry Bonds before 1998 was possibly the greatest player to ever live jerk or not (being a jerk doesn't actually prevent being a great athlete, lots of great ones are pricks.)
Barry after he decided he needed to be Home Run champ, is not the greatest. He could have gone down in history as the greatest player to ever live, but instead he'll have his Home Runs records that no one believes is real.

Opinions are just that - opinions. You could very possibly ask 100 baseball fans who the greatest player of all time was and get 100 different answers. While I don't agree that Bonds is the greatest player of all time, ( I'm a Willie Mays fan myself) people are entitled to their opinions. Although I disagree with those who feel that Bonds is the greatest, I would never dismiss them as idiots over an opinion. I think it is much more ignorant to simply dismiss anyone who disagrees with you on something that is solely an opinion as an automatic idiot.

Yes.
1. He's not, Babe Ruth is.
2. He was a great player before he went on roids, a HOFer but he couldn't be great he had to be a legend.
3. Wait until a 5 too player starts going. Sizemore, Crawford, Reyes.......one of them(or someone else I might have forgotten)wins a gold glove, MVP, or gets 500 home runs.

No, because he is the greatest player of all time. Name me a better five-tool player than a young Barry other than a injury free Ken Griffey Jr.. I don't even care about the home run record, check his stats before all this alleged steroid use. HE WAS GREAT THEN TOO!

Do any of us on this site know more than the players that play against Bonds as to how good he is.? Here are the facts about Barry Bonds: HR's 754, RUNS 2,205, RBI 1,979, STOLEN BASES 514, CAREER AVG .298, SLG .503, OPS .936 and OBP .433. The fact is that no player in the history of the game has put up these kinds of career numbers and I challenge you to come back with the names of those that you believe have. Also, Bonds has received over 700 intentional walks in his career which is more than four times the amount received by anyone else because pitchers don't want to pitch to him. You are trying to intermingle your personal feelings about him with his greatness as a player and it won't work.

Yes because he isn't. He might end up with the home run record which is at best tainted but he isn't the greatest player of all type. I think that Ruth, Cobb, etc. rank above him now and always will.
