They should be good. I feed them every other night to my tropical fish. They seem so happy when I feed them. But other than that, yes you can feed them to all tropical fish.

I use the frozen rather than the freeze dried and have yet to find a freshwater fish that wouldn't eat them. These aren't actually a worm but the larvae of a small flying insect (midge). They also occur naturally in most bodies of water, but unlike mosquitos, they can be found in both still and moving water, so they're part of the natural diet of most freshwater fish, tropical or coldwater. I have kept native species in the past, and bloodworms is one of the first foods I give, since it's something the fish recognize as food (most wild fish don't see flakes or pellets in their water).

Nutritionally, they're high protein, and also contain iron (what gives them their red coloration). Bloodworms shouldn't be a sole food (no single item should be) but are a great treat for fish.

Bloodworms are the favorite food of all my fish. They are greedily gobbled up by my bettas, guppies, corydoras, mollies and platys. I have even seen an apple snail suck one down when it was in a good position to grab one before a fish beat it to it. I have both the frozen bloodworms and the freeze dried varieties. The frozen are fresher and easier for the fish to digest, but the freeze dried are definitely easier to store and feed to the fish. Just let people know that the fish will love them and not to feed too much at once and you should be able to sell plenty.

All of my fish love frozen bloodworms, they do not cloud up a tank if you feed them the right amounts. My african dwarf frog also LOVES frozen bloodworms.

Actually bloodworms are midge larva, not mosquito larva. Secondly, that should not be possible. That would only be possible if your tank is unfiltered. Maybe you put rainwater inside the tank? Something from outside?
