As for his presidency, it is generally acknowledged by agenda-neutral scholars that he was caught up in accidents of history, he was actually a good president but was caught up in an economic mess not of his making. Like with with the present president. Dont know what your problem with him is, but I am sure you would never be able to do a better job.
