Each time you use the bathroom is a good rule of thumb - unless it becomes too full/covered prior to that.

Usually every four or six hours is fine, more or less. If you are flowing heavily, you might need to change more often. Keep an eye on the pad. When it is almost saturated, it's time to change. If you are flowing lightly and don't have much blood on your pad, you should still change frequently for cleanliness. The blood that discharges from your body is clean, but once it hits the air and accumulates on a pad, odors can develop.

You need to change them as often as is right for you - different women have different periods and what is often enough for someone might not be often enough for someone else. It depends how heavy your period is, what stage of the period you are at (start, middle or finishing) but generally, the 'usual' time period is 4-8 hours. You'll need to change every 4 hours if you're experiencing a heavier flow (usually around the beginning/middle of your period) and this can decrease to 8 hours towards the end of your period.

This is not a consistent thing for every girl. Some bleed very lightly and need to change only 2-4 times a day. Some bleed very heavy and in the first day or two may need to change almost hourly. It is an individual thing that you will recognize when it happens to you. When you feel icky is when you change or when you are near a bathroom and may not be for several hours.
Should you see clots or tissue, this is normal as the lining of the Uterus sloughs off and out every single month.

I have a heavy period so I need to change my pad about every 2-3 hours the first few days. After that I only usually need to change it every 5-6 hours though (and I wouldn't always need to change it then, except I like to keep fresh one's on).

It depends upon how much "flow" you have. On some days, it will be much heavier than others. On some days you will need to change your pads often, on others not so often You will have to be your own judge on that. There are lighter pads you can wear at that time too.
In general each month your flow will start off heavy, then taper off. Your teenaged years will most likely be your heaviest years, then it will begin to taper off. The same can be said of cramps and pms, although many of us have no problem with that at all. Not all girls and women have pms and many only have very light cramps, usually during the time of their heaviest flow.
I have always been a fan of pads as opposed to tampons because I consider the risk of infection to be less, but that is another thing you will have to be your own judge on.

Pad changing varies from one person to another because we have different menstrual flows. But I think to be on the safe and hygienic side, change a pad every 3 to 4 hours.

You will probably change it every couple hours or so. They make pads for heavy periods and pads for light periods, so it depends. I change mine more often because I just feel more comfortable doing that. Talk to your mom, Im sure she will give you all the info you need!

14? Your sooo lucky! Any how, you will pretty much know when to change them, its usually depending on how heavy the period is about once evry 2 ta 4 hours. Once you get used to the whole period thing and they become regular, you can test out tampons... yaya i know it sounds scary, but you cant feel them at all and you dont have to worry so much about a stinky pad and you can keep it in for up to 8 hours! Dont worry its not scary and you will know what to do when it happens. gl

It depends on how heavy your flow is. It could be anywhere from every hour to every five hours. You have to keep changing them or you'll have a mess on your hands. Consider using tampons (Junior kind). They are less messy and don't have to be changed as often. Just make sure you use the lowest absorbency possible and don't leave them in longer than 8 hours.

You usually change them every 3 or 4 hours if you have a big flow. For a small flow, change it like every 5 to 6 hours. Yes, you do have to change them again, or it will show through your pants or stain your underwear.
Hope i helped through this difficult time!
