Which type pain do you think is worse: physical or emotional?

Emotional pain, when my parents died. Physical pain, peritonitis. Well the physical pain was cured but the emotional pain seems to be lasting forever. I don't think the types of pain can be compared. When you have that bad physical pain you can't think of anything else. You can still function with emotional pain.

Wow, thats a tough question.
I can't say one is more painful then the other but I can say what the most painful of both of them were to me.
Physical: Rolled my car and dislocated my should and got a cut from the glass about a half a inch above my eye (phew). Had to climb out of the car with one arm and walk 15 minutes to the end of the road, call my gram, and get her to take me to the hospital (another 25 mins).
Emotional: Probobaly anytime a close relationship I was in ended. I hate that feeling. It feels like everything was for nothing and you have to start all over again.

Worst - my bare skin touching the exhaust pipe to a motorcycle as we were skidding. Worse than childbirth.
Physical pain is easier to deal with in some ways because there are pain relievers, and it is usually temporary. Emotional pain, on the other hand, can go unidentified as such - people think it's mood swings, unnamed anger, mental illness sometimes. And if you don't know what it is, you can't deal with it properly.

emotional b/c some physical pain only lasts seconds while emotional can last over years and can get worse plus sometimes it may even turn in to physical pain sometimes i think it fells like someone riping out ur heart.

Labor and Delivery was by far the worst pain I have ever been in.
I think physical pain is worse.

I guess its emotional. The physical pain goes away but the emotional pain stays forever. =) All the best!!

Emotional. I have a very high tolerance to physical pain.

Emotional pain is so much worse to me because it causes physical ailments/pain!
