I've been using Tide for about 30 years now. I've switched to Gain a couple times when money was tight, but never again! I always go back! Many people have allergies to the fragrance in Tide though, thankfully no one in my family has allergies!

Although, I like the cleaning power of Tide I'm allergic to it and it's way more expensive than the other brands... I prefer ERA,WISK,GAIN or ALL.. I DO NOT like PUREX it's too watery and doesn't get the stains out of the kids clothes.. Usually, for 300 oz. it's around $10 or $11 and that last us about 2 months.. For a family of 4 with 2 children. Recently, I've been putting baking soda in all my wash loads and have found it to freshen and be an excellent additive for getting out stains.. It's also really inexpensive and I use it all over the house... Its under $5 for a 12 lb. bag.... Good luck

Tide with Febreze! A little more expensive than Gain but worth it! Try this! Buy both wash a towel in each. Set them in your closet, two days later smell them. The one with tide smells like it just came out of the dryer, the other one has no smell at all.

Tide works probably better than gain, We use Purex and get about the same results as Tide but lower cost

Tide. I have always used tide. Gain is cheap in price and you often get what you pay for.

I have family members allergic to Tide so we use Gain, it smells great and always cleans the mud pretty good from our four-wheelin clothes.

Husband's allergic to Tide, too. I've found that Cheer works almost as well.

Lisa-
Years ago while working in an Army/Navy surplus wholesale, we would get in these huge lots of used military sleeping bags that were REALLY nasty with sweat, grease and mud. We always swore by Wisk, it got out all of the stuff that the guys got into.
