Pick an area that you really like or know something about - mine is TV, but I go to other areas also. Give honest answers even if you make them amusing. Don't just answer a question for 2 points, what gets you from level to level is "Best Answers" which are worth 10. And the better you try to answer, the better your chance of a Best Answer. Well besides answering questions, you COULD vote for a certain number of best answers depending on your level. Reaching 249 points isn't difficult at all, it shouldn't take more than 5 or 6 days to reach.

Don't ask questions. Just keep answering questions. The more questions you answer the more best answers you have. And having the best answer gives you more points.

you could answer the easy questions like the surveys
or when you do answer questions, go in depth and really talk about it so that you can be awarded best answer and get more points
