D-Rep, William Jefferson?
D-Mayor of DC, Marion Barry?
D-Pres, Bill Clinton
D-Sen, Brian Burke
D-Rep, Mel Reynold, convicted of child molestion and pardoned by Clinton
and Democratic Fundraiser, and all around great clown, John Wayne Gacy?
These are people convicted or indicted, these don't include people like John Murtha who were never indicted but there is evidence, or Ted Kennedy and Chapaquitic. Or Al Gore III who twice now has been convicted or plead guilty to misdemeanor drug possesion. So, just because you don't like republicans, don't make it out to be they are the only ones doing things illegal. There are bad apples on both sides of the aisle. A criminal is a criminal their party affiliation has nothing to do with it.

Try a google search on Jim Black, Democrat, House Speaker on the congress in NC. Last night was 1st night of a 5 yr Federal term for corruption, obstruction of justice, bribery. He goes in today for his sentencing in state court.
Ever hear of the Duke Lacrosse Rape Scandal? It was in all the papers. The DA Nifong has been disbarred, fired and may go to jail and will certainly be sued. Did it all to get elected. Democrat, put into the job by the Dem Gov Mike Easley.
Nifong made a little of the national news after his fall but have not seen a word on Jim Black.

Why is it that the extreme, conservative, nutcase, right wingers want to blame a "liberal" media? The evidence of serious crimes is irrefutable. The facts are that the media is clearly managed and controlled by extremely conservative leadership, but this doesn't seem to stop Rush and Ann who like to say the exact opposite. Truth and fact checking has never been their forte. Money grubbing has.
To win office and win the fringe religious right, Republicans must promote an image that is totally plastic and fiction. Politicians in the US must work the system to win office, and this is not congruent with being honest and good. This in itself leads to a disconnect and must lead to a split personality.
When someone claims to be a saint, reporters (who I grant are more liberal than their bosses) will hold them to a higher standard.
I think all pedophiles and criminals in political office should be exposed and removed from office regardless of party affiliation. Perception is not reality and the many conservative politicians seems to have drifted away from their projected image big time.

I am not for the Republicans, but I believe, that they are not better in lying, stealing from the tax payer and doing nothing in Congress then all other politicians. Our entire government is corrupt to the bone, doesn't do a thing for us tax payers (with exception of the military industry, interns and the richest people) and each should get a term in Iraq for 4 years, with the armor, the army has, not the one they want.

I see you convientely for got William 90,000 bribe in his freezer Jefferson, and of course there is the deft manuvering the Demos have mastered to get off when caught red handed impeached and disbarred Sliick Willie , Abscam Snitch Murtha, and the Capitol hill Madame Barney Frank impeached judge Alcee Hastings All guilty as sin yet given a pass.

This is my theory, Republicans want to keep the budget tight, so they never have any freedoms with the money. Thats why they embezzle funds, plus all politicians these days are corrupt, in fact down the line of United States history there have been just as many corrupt politicians.
