I have to withdraw money from the bank today, but I just realized I've misplaced my license. I have no idea where it is. Do most banks have rules against this? What do you think I will need to bring to show identity?

If you are well known to a bank employee and they are sure that you are the owner of the account, you may be able to get away with withdrawing money without ID. If you don't have a relationship with your banker such that they know you on sight, you may have difficulties.

It's important (for reasons such as this) to get to know the staff at your bank. I do, and I'm greeted by name every time I walk into Bank of America.

If they know you, they will let you... otherwise, bring a passport or school/work ID and give that a try.

Don't you have an ATM card?
