"If I can not get you to see the difference between a childs birthday gift and an adults TV set then there is no sense discussing any further about the events and conversation that occured this morning."

Well I think you need to elaborate more, but what I am getting from this is you bought a child a tv set? I think thats great, most kids don't have tv's in their room, my son has always had one from the time he was 2 years old, so I agree with it, others may not, but if you guys are common law, why wasn't this discussed?

Sounds like the two of you have a child and that you opted to buy a TV and not a birthday gift for the child that your common law and you have.

OR

If you opted for the child's birthday gift and your common law thinks the TV for the adults was more important, then it's time to move the common law out of your life.

so, you want to, or did, buy a tv for the child (which is probably in the living room and not the child's room) instead of a gift for the child that is age appropriate? You wanted a new TV, lol???

well...you need to have a tv to play a playstation or nintendo don't you??? its better for the kid to have their own then to only have one. how would you watch tv if the kid was playing games on it??? she needs to get a clue. she is trying to controll you. she is trying to tell you what gift to buy. this is a personal gift from you, not her. she doesn't get a choice in the matter. TIME TO MAN UP!!!!!! good luck

I'd be writing back, "If that's how you feel, ok by me. All I know is that I'm buying myself a TV and don't get any funny ideas that you're going to be watching it. And don't bother trying to discuss this with me, this conversation is over."

Not enough information, sounds as if someone has made a bad mistake in choosing presents. Thats you, right? Sorry I cannot help. Question: Is common law the same as a de-facto?

If everybody is bullying you why are then you definitely posting issues like this? quite thats giving them the come directly to do it somewhat greater. it won't be able to be intense-high quality to get bullied yet why are they "bullying" you in the 1st place?.....merely a splash banter never harm all and sundry yet whilst its greater suitable than that dont enable them to be conscious of who you're so then they cant get to you and it wont happen will it? Its all somewhat stupid imo.
