Especially Vitter. With his Holly than though attitude. Wait 'til his people find out the prostitutes he was hiring were MEN ! All hell will break loose. It's only a rumor of course, but it will be interesting to find out......By the way, this case has really been covered up and forgotten; what gives? The same old "Old boy network?"

Vitter no, while prostitution is illegal, is doesn't impact you ability to be a senator. It isn't a felony in most cases, but not a major crime by any stretch.
Stevens, yes, corruption could affect how your job is done as a legislator. Just like William Jefferson (Dem -Louisiana) should also for the bribery charges. If they are found not guilty they could always run again (even if they are guilty they could run again, Marrion Barry was re-elected mayor of Washington DC after doing time in prision). Corruption and bribery are things we don't need in our congress.
There is enough problems with one side blaming the other as it is, and having people involved in major criminal cases doesn't help. Dems will point to Stevens and Cons will point to William Jefferson, and none of that is worth it. There are good and bad people on both sides of the aisle, and the situations need to be take away from the light and handled without hindering our congress.

As a conservative, I have wanted Stevens to resign for years. He is a profligate spender, and his heavy-handed tactics have no place in the Republican party.
As for Vitter, I think that we need more facts about his situation. If he did indeed engage a prostitute, then by all means he should resign.

These persons have used their position in a negative manner. I think that they should walk away or a investigation should occur. Why is this escort service not being investigated?. Do they have green cards? Do they pay taxes? What nationality are they? It seems illegals could work free and make top dollar with the assistance of the senator.
