i know about emulators like gammu and gnokii but what i need is something like yahoo messenger. how does yahoo messenger work? the code will be embed in a system coded in php and with mysql database.

i don't need sites that offer this service. i need to make a program that can send text messages but i have no idea how to do this or how this works.

I don't know nothin about what you are talkin about but a good free text message site is cardboard fish. You can send a text from your pc to any mobile that way.
