The laws are same for all citizens of India. there is no question of diff sent of laws for poor and rich. The only difference is in implementation of the laws. Rich peoplke can arrange for good/smart lawyers and the poor cannot. thats all. Take the case of Priyadarshini Mattu, Sushils sharma ( tandoor case ) and most famous one of Shibhu Soren, the coal minister. have these people been punished or not even being rich and famous. Sanjay Dutt has also ot punishment. some one else in this forum is pointing to punishment being given after 20 year, but same is the case with all other accused in this particular Tada Court Case. people should think twice before writing such things

Poor is poorer day by day.. Richer is getting reacher day by day, its fact. Why? Law should be equal to every citizen ..but the reality is that not without money. I know its very easy to say but very difficult to prove, mean law for poor is weak and doesn't stand! Reacher can afford but poor can't....mean difference is there. I know law will take its own course. Then why poor is in jail the very next day of his offence even it is not prooved and the rich can hold for for so many years. Money talks! There are many such examples before my comment only needs naked eyes to see the fact.I know, Law will take its own course and I accept that but the treatment should get to the poor too by poviding finiancial assistance. Law & Law makers has to think once again to get the justice to the poor. My intension is that law should be equal for each and every citizen of India & world. Lets make peaceful world before 2021.

No. For all rich or poor law is same in India. To say some rich can afford services of good lawyers can be set free but poor even if innocent suffer for years is not totally true. In some cases & in some lower courts this criteria MAY be true but when it comes to High Courts & the Supreme Court level the justice prevail equally for all. I still remember the Bhagalpur case where poor prisoners were blinded & got relief after the interference of the Supreme Court at that time. Similar cases can be cited where the higher courts took the matter concerning the ordinary man so motto (of its own accord) & provided legal relief. In the eye of law every one is equal, what the court see in each & every case is the evidence relating to the case as well the circumstances under which the said act was committed that amounted to an offence. I do not agree with any one who say that a rich man can delay & get matter in his or her favor in his or her case by his or her money power, the delay can be for many reasons but using money power to get the verdict in one favor is out of question unless the judge is corrupt. Even in case of a bias judgment the higher courts are sitting to deal the matter & pronounce justice for the aggrieved. The three tier system of judiciary itself makes the issue very clear that no one will be denied justice if the records of the case have evidence & circumstance in ones favor, in this regard let me bring the case of a poor 17 years girl who got raped & even the medical record produced in the court could not confirm the rape charges, but it was the Supreme Court of India in its wisdom punished the accused for the charges of rape only on the basis of the mere statement of this poor girl. So you see what ever I have said here is what our whole judicial system all about.

As per statute there is no difference. But practically poor cannot get all the facilities that the rich enjoy. Rich can afford to engage top Lawyers to argue their cases. Is it not so throughout the world? why you single out India.

The laws are different for the poor as they are for the rich. Does not matter what country you are in.

The more money you have, the easier the law is on you unless you are being tried in a court of law outside of your homeland.

Any Hollywood star will vouch for that.

I accept as true with you. in my view i've got self assurance that this can be the inspiration to direct the energies and efforts of the government in cutting-edge India. the financial upliftment is the empowering of the folk and it extremely is the shown thank you to equality. nevertheless there are oblique attractiveness for this certainty, the caste politics is merely too solid as of cutting-edge. The caste divisions erode with prosperity and remnants could be dealt with with the aid of the solid empowered NGOs and non secular / non secular boards. merely like different factors the place government is slowly encroaching to convey them below organised sectors, the clergymen for the temples & Brahminism could be curriculum for profession. Then the temples can come below organised and recognized sectors. A doable, conceivable answer for India is a slow technique. It desires solid governments to hasten the technique.

Yeah what you are saying was the thing of the past, But now, We can hear verdicts of politicians being given life sentences, And people like Priyadarshini Matto and Jessica Lall also get justice even after their death. This shows the healthy transformation in the indian legal system which is good for the country and its citizens.

Strictly speaking law does not differ for the poor and the rich. Equality before law is guaranteed as one of the fundaamental rights under Indian Constitution as our country is SOVEREIGN DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC. However, some concessional platform is extended to a section of the society to qualify them to obtain such equal status such as reservation in educational and employment opportunities.
