Don't feel guilt or sorry for him.Give him to believe that you all are with him and for him.Let him be at his own to work it out.He should know by his training to come out of it ,in due course of time. And come he would...

This person is fighting in a war and war changes people because of all the tragic things they see and feel. Leave him alone and let him decide himself when he wants to be bothered with a relationship with others again. What was your decision anyway? Why should you feel guilty over something that happened between you? You should be able to understand that this person has been and is going through hell every day of his life over there. He has no time for petty relationships if that is what yours was. Shame on you for thinking only of yourself.

hes probably depressed of what he sees and its alot of death. he probably thinks he may not come back and that is why he wants to be alone. give him space and when he gets back have party for him and all his Friends that will help him its hard there believe me in a 3rd world country and all the people seem to not care about the other and they just let girls and women die. they just are horrible and i am sure he sees this and more he wont' ever tell you about.

sounds like post traumatic stress disorder or PTSD and/or depression. talk him into seeing a doctor over there with his symptoms. he's not alone.

Just let him know that when he wants to spend time with others again, you'll be there for him.

How long has he been over there? Sounds like it could be PTSD.
