"Virginity" is a somewhat contested and outdated concept. If by virginity you mean do they break their hymen, sometimes. Sometimes the hymen is already broken before that, or sometimes it simply never existed. Neither events mean that they are no longer "virgins."
If that isn't the definition you are going by ask yourself this - do guys loose their virginity while masturbating?

Your answer - I hope - is no.
Modern "virginity" generally refers to the first sexual act a person experiences between two people. Some people feel that this must include some form of penetration. "PIV" or "Penis-in-Vagina" Sex is not the only way to "loose your virginity." For example, it just doesn't make sense for a lesbian who has never had sex with a guy to be called a virgin if she's slept with dozens of women. Even if you have PIV, if it was during an act of rape most Westerners wouldn't consider it "loosing your virginity."

So no! masturbation doesn't result in a loss of virginity. Virginity became a valued social concept because as a patriarchal male-lineal society, the only way to ensure a continuation of the male line is if the female only has sex with one person. Few in this modern day in age are worried about if they can pass their fiefdom down to their own flesh and blood, yet the lingering social values attached to virginity remain. So unless you are thinking of passing down a medival fiefdom - stop worry about the feminine virginity.

fiercelingua above has an excellent answer. I would only add that this all assumes you are masturbating alone! Additionally, I dated a girl in high school that thought anal sex made her a virgin still. In hind sight (hehe), I'm thinking possibly it did, but certainly not morally or spiritually.
