It will work for the elite. The rest of us will be third world poor and beholden to a supernational government that doesn't represent us but the elite.
NAU is all about exploitation of the working class for profit and any true American would be opposed.
Nafta is just the start. This unfair trade agreement has totally gutted the economy of my state of Michigan and put thousands out of work so corporations can make a tidy profit exploiting "slave" labor from the third world.
It's interesting how the MSM isn't covering any of this major threat to the constitution and our national soveriegnty.

We already have an American Union -- the United States of America.
The EU is a confederate model, with member states (countries) having more power than the central govt. The USA is a federalist model, with states having less power than the central (federal govt). And that balance isn't going to change (in either case) without changing the relevant Constitution.
As far as combining countries -- like unifying North America -- that would require either (1) dissolution of the USA so that our Constitution no longer applied, or (2) a major re-write of the Constitution, or (3) Canada and Mexico dissolving as countries and their states/provinces becoming USA states.
Or, we can continue as we have been, just having treaties between the countries, and get 90% of the same result with 10% of the effort. But each would still be a separate country.

America’s political body already had become a unionized political body – THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – upon adoption of our Constitution.
In 1945, at the end of the Second World War, Europe, however, was marked by unprecedented devastation and human suffering. It faced new political challenges, in particular reconciliation among the peoples of Europe and the growing political division between the USA and the USSR, two ideologically-opposed superpowers. This situation favoured a long held idea of European unification through the creation of common institutions [and] the European Union (EU) was established...
As you, no doubt, already know, [the European Union (EU)] is a supranational and an intergovernmental political body, made up of twenty-seven European countries established in 1993. [It was determined]... that integration [of] the markets for the industrial resources [was] necessary for reconstruction of Europe... [and] for the production of weapons of war. The expansion of the EU has been seen as a means for promoting and reinforcing peace and democracy on the European continent following the Second World War and later after the decline of the Soviet Union. [as well as}...to increase its economic prosperity.

something like this has to be done to stop the european advance to the americas, if you dont defend whats on your doorstep, then you will lose whats on your doorstep.but to make it work you need tosee whatit is about the e.u. that makes britain so ravin angry...and here are its weeknesses
britain was lied and cheated into europe. that wont do,
europe inflicts tons and tons of legislation on us we dont want
that wont do,
they have blundered the wealth of our nation by getting our gov to destroy our manufacturing base putting millions on benefits, that wont do.
they are trying to totaly dominate us, and they want a godless world order. that wont do
if you want it to work dont wind people up let them keep their freedom and make their own laws, you dont all have to be zombified.
make it so south americans can be happy in south america
you must not overun one country with to many immigrants like britain has.
freedom of business travel, but not immigration, each member should be master of his own house but unified as allies with his neigbour, if you get this working without to much upset, you might offer us brits to join
we need to dump europe, but we dont wish to do a frying pan and fire job.

Doesn't matter if it works or not because it isn't about what the people want, it is about what the rich elite want. They want to REMOVE YOUR RIGHTS AS A PERSON.
Do you want to be nothing more than a serf or slave in your own country? Because that is what will happen.
