at 2PM PST today. Weatherman said this signifies a clear threat of drought.

La Union has been declared under the state of calamity due to the drought. The Ambuclao and San Roque Dams are now nearly critical levels. But it's been raining cats and dogs in Baguio this month.

What do you think? Effect of global warming?

Reminds me of the hailstorm day before the 1990 killer quake.

The Dept. of Agriculture is currently conducting cloud seeding in La Union but this hasn't helped the dry spell in the province. They are now asking the government for funds to purchase water pumps. If the dry spell continues, there will be rice shortage.

Yes we are now facing Global Warming.

But there's no connection between hail falling from the sky and the earthquake from the ground.

But if say that Mt. Bulusan erupted this morning, then a 75% possibilities that an earthquake will occur or some tremors in that area.

Here's some Global Warming scenario that we are experiencing right now in Philippines:

1. Hail falling from the sky in Baguio.

2. Tornado in Bulacan and Pampanga.

3. Rising temperature in Manila and other area. And expected to rise for the next month.

4. Only one (1) typhoon visited Philippines from June-July and expected count this coming August is only one (1) typhoon.

5. Angat dam water level is decreasing because no rain and hot temperature causing the water to vaporize.

6. Typhoon that develops in the Pacific area will less likely pass the Philippines, instead it will go further north towards Japan.

This is scary and as you've noticed my Previous Question regarding Government action towards Global Warming issue.

Lets, hope and pray that we will received more rain this coming month.

wink-wink, penguin says this is a serious issue, which is more important than the terrorism problem.

It has rained hail in Baguio several times before, hasn't it?

Having said that, yes we are all sooooo concerned about the effects of global warming. And do our bit in our own little way. No need to enumerate what we can do individually. I think Yappers are an intelligent lot. Sometimes, we just take things for granted, saying they win't damage our environment. But all those little infractions add up.

i wonder why the weather man hasn't tried sending dust in drought areas to cause rains. It mostly rain hard after every major battle in the histories of war with the advent of cannons.

If it rains, it pours.
Effects of global warming are in the extremes, like drought and storms so strong it would bring destruction...

omg. is it sure that the rains are not caused by cloud seedings? most parts of luzon are seeded thats why its raining after lunch. we are under a dry spell and it is mainly caused by the sudden change in the world's climate.

its time to wake up people.and be involve with this.
