I don't think your situation is in anyway unusual. The majority of males have done some experimenting with other guys when they are young. The majority go on to live perfectly happy straight lives with little guilt about it and chalk it up to being a juvenile. It's no secret that men like to get off and face it, nothing does it like a b.j. None of the work and all of the pleasure. The Greek and Roman societies didn't have a problem with bi-sexuality. Caesar was did guys and Cleopatra and no one thought the less of him for it. It's only modern society that has it's hang ups about it. You could say that bisexuals have the best of both worlds.

In our society, sexuality is a social construction that puts forth strict guidelines regarding what behavior is acceptable for the sexes...and those who do not adhere to the expectations of their genitals are punished. In other words, the expectation is that men must desire only women and women must only desire men. It is unfortunate, which is part of the reason why teens and others who recognize these "non-normal" feelings within themselves struggle so much, and why others who recognize queer qualities in their friends and classmates are often so cruel and unforgiving.
Women have always been more honest with regards to acknowledging beauty where beauty lies, regardless of these expectations. Men, on the other hand, are seen as "less than", and they are often ostracized and frowned upon for their honest disclosures. It is entirely silly, but until everyone starts being honest about their feelings (a mass shift is unlikely...), then nothing will change.
This system is also tightly controlled by various social institutions, including religion, the media, and schools.
Kudos to your honesty, chief. If only more people were leaders rather than followers...

It sounds to me you are confusing a lot of issues and rolling them all up under the umbrella of homosexuality. For a quick example, finding appreciation and understanding in the male form doesn't have anything to do with sexual desire or orientation. I think that in most cultures today men are discouraged from having a healthy non-sexual appreciation of the male form and this further confuses the whole issue were as woman are encouraged, nah, forced to accept and appreciate the female form which brings rise to a more comfortable atmosphere for them to explore their entire range of feelings and desires for feminine interaction. Another point I'm not I think I disagree with you and the common perception is that having a desire to try or understand a the same sex in some manner of sexual exploration automatically makes you bisexual or homosexual. Many times it could be driven more from other desires or interests such as just pure curiosity. To digress I have many times tried things in life, completely nonsexual things, that I don't have a strong deep interest in, just out of pure curiosity, to understand them or something about them in greater detail. A perfect example of course being different philosophies.

I agree. This is another example of the communication breakdown in society. Just because someone may have a passing thought he or she is labled with a name. I happen to appreciate a woman that takes care of herself and looks good. What makes a man any different from me, we are both human. I think the world would be a better place to live in if men and women would just relate more on a human level instead of this is what it should be for men and this is what it should be for women.

I think you're more man than most for even being able to discuss your thoughts about this sort of thing. If more people were open to discussions of this level there would be considerably less hate in this world - and a lot less uptight people.
I think a large percentage of the male population agrees with you in spirit but cannot admit it due to perceived social pressure to remain straight as an arrow.
Yes a lot of straight men have these desires. Because of my nature I have a lot of straight men approach men.

the whole concept of straight men desiring other men is nothing more than a gay fantasy. Like the fantasy that some immature people have of the object of their desire fantasizing about being raped. It just isn't so.

Absolutely. I know of many married "straight" men who have boyfriends on the side. Heck, I have a friend that accomodates 3 of them that I know about. He's a bit of a tramp but he must be good at it because they keep showing up.

Well, what I think is that isone thing. Its called curiosity. It's trying different thing to see what makes them the most happy. The only person who could tell them that they are gay, or straight, or whatever, is themselves. They have to figure it out all there own.
