You are into languages and in the end you will be doing what you love and have a good job! I think you should major in what you love! My daughter is being forced by her father to major in something that is not in her interest and I feel so badly that she cannot pursue what interests her.

I was into languages as well, especially english literature. When I was doing my O-Levels I thought I would definitely go into the arts major and do english. Instead I am doing hospitality. As you are given the opportunity to be a kindergarten teacher, you should consider yourself lucky coz now you will have a stable job but you can easily practice and do moonlighting with your love for languages. In the end, don't only follow your heart but also what's practical and what will help you in the long run :D

I'm going to be a K-6 teacher myself, but I have a strong love for langauges as well. It was hard to make a decision between the two, but ultimately I chose teaching because the job was stable and it would be something I would enjoy, and during the summer I have the opportunity to teach langauges through summer school and classes.
Ultimately you can do both fi you want to. Its a good idea to always have something to fall back on. Where I live in Virgina and in several other states, education isn't a major and only something you can get licensed in. So you choose an actual major from anything. You could choose english, or a foreign langauge to major in while getting your teaching license and teach both. Good luck!

You think being a kindergarten teacher is going to be relaxing? Come back after dealing with a class of twenty-five kids who refuse to settle down for storytime and tell me that, and maybe I'll believe you.
Concentrate on the major that's the best fit for you, not the one your friends find most impressive. Besides, if you really do want to teach, you can get your major in English or Linguistics or whatever you want to focus on, and then apply for a program like Teach for America.

the main suitable thank you to verify on a considerable is to envision what you quite appreciate doing or what matters you like. while you're good in math, accounting or company. artwork, shape or interiro layout. go right into a considerable which you like, not one which you're feeling a rigidity to be in touch in....many human beings have been inspired to grow to be instructors whilst there became a scarcity, and we now have undesirable instructors who hate what they do. maximum school want intense GPA's 3.8 or greater ideal and SAT scores over 1300! good success

Well generally I'd say go for the sure thing but in my heart I'd say you should go for what makes you happy. There are jobs which make people super happy to go to in the morning but don't pay well, but it doesn't matter because they are happy doing it.
