OMG - Yes! I have tried so many right from the mountain stream. The best . Mountain water from the French Alps (hiking) is probably the best. The Bavarian Alps a close second- I may have to try that again.

if you had tasted water from a cold mountain stream, back when all the streams and rivers were not assumed to be polluted ( think 30+ years ago)-- YES, that was fabulous. If only they could bottle it.

But what they bottle now is nothing like the taste i remember.

Water from a mountain spring today? In the US, all the camping books say to boil it first. So the pictures on the bottle look nice, but are something of a historical reality as opposed to today's reality.

I think mountain water does taste better but I also think Aquafina tastes better than most bottle waters. Yeah, I have heard the news about it being just purified water.

It may, but it's not strictly because it's from the mountain. It's more likely the fact that the water is less polluted, has less additives, and is more prestine.

Mountains also many times have melted glacier water, which would be more delicious too.
