Knowledge is the understanding of a concept. Concepts will always exist, always. Whether the concept is percieved and understood by another or not does not affect the fact that the concept is there.

Therefore; the potential for knowledge exists permanently.

If the potential for knowledge is constant, then it will always exist.

Thus; knowledge is forever, shared or not.

You can define a word any way you like. This over intellectualization is where we get the concept of an educated idiot fromm where the simplest answer will do, common sense. On the other hand with the positing of an infinite number of dimensions everything has the possibility of being true, especially if there's no time. I find the world to be made of absolutes and everything being true makes that truth am absolute also. There is a difference between true and existing. Possibly anything can exist in the mind, even a lie. It's true it exists. It may become true. A lot of what we call true, now seems to be an almost infinitely large delusion anyway. We've made it a true world of delusion. One person can change that delusion, like Einstein and that can become truth. Unfortunately calling a delusion truth doesn't leave much room for the average person to find the truth, if they believe the delusion is truth. A person has to think for themselves and not be fooled into the belief that truth is something someone else verifies or define truth that way for himself.

Knowledge is a result or product of knowing. It is an information or understanding acquired through experience, practical ability or skill. Learning had been a cumulative culture of the human race. Knowledge indeed is the clear and certain apprehension of truth. Knowledge is all that the mind knows, from whatever source derived or obtained or by whatever process. By the above precepts it is not necessarily a requirement for you to share because knowledge will exist by itself.

KNOWLEDGE can only exist when it has been used. We all agree (as we are alive here to read this) that our hearts have the knowledge of how to beat. If the heart had this knowledge yet refused to use it ... Same thing with the book, and the fire..if I haven't written a book do I know for sure? Same thing with a fire,..am I sure?

Example #1: I know how to buld a fire when I am alone in the wilderness.

Example #2: I write a book the no one else sees. I appreciate my own words but I might progress further with an audience.

Example #3: I build on the innovations of the past. These innovations have been shared with the community.

for this, you need to know the full definition of knowledge; which is, according to wiki, "the awareness and understanding of facts,TRUTHS or information gained in the form of experience or learning (a posteriori), or through introspection (a priori)." Now we need to know what "truth" is. and it is: "a fact that has been VERIFIED". you need someone else to verify sth. so YES; knowledge only exists when it is shared.

I think true knowledge is what we keep to ourselves. It is so true that there is no need to convince other people that we have the right idea!
