His misguided practise dragged America through more years of pathetic morass! Adolf dragged germany through a worse financial situation in one third of the time! It was no time for mamsy be nice policies! Hitler eventually dragged the USA out of it saving FDR's pathetic name from the bottom of history.

Socialism existed in America as far back a colonial times. But what FDR did was to bring socialism in to the mainstream of American life.

New Deal was the first really big boost for socialism. The only presidents since FDR that did not push socialism were JFK and Reagan. LBJ's "Great Society" was the next giant step toward socialism and Bush has about locked us in completely.

It was the beginning of it being mainstream and accepted here in the US. FDR did irreparable damage to the US Constitution by using the government to fund a host of failed social programs. The effects and precedence of FDR's socialist legacy are still being felt today.

No socialism has been arount 1000's of years.
FDR started the welfare class that certain racial groups depend on and it has destroyed their will to get ahead and they hold theirselves down with the something for nothing attatude. Thanks to FDR
