yes-it causes dramatic changes in peoples mental state, obviously for the worse, all the time they insist it is harmless- obviously not. It is full of toxins, thats why it does so much harm, the only people who dont agree with the facts are those who use it

The problem with this is many:
1) The only scientific research about weed that was presented before congress in the 1920's when weed was first criminalized
with the tax stamp law was booed off stage and removed from the scrips because it didn't match the moral view of the people at the time
2) after it was made illegal, no more research was allowed on the plant without a government issued grant
3)most the information sense then collected about weed, and alot of these kids regurgitating the "facts" they know, were "studies" conducted by anti-marijuana organizations that sole goal is to keep weed illegal
i know you'll say "hey why would it be illegal if it wasnt bad? Isnt this law to protect us?"
well we all know cigarettes and alcohol are addictive and cause cancer but you dont see the law rushing to your aid now do you?
Its a psychedelic drug - it has the ability to change your perspective, some times its not something every one else like about you to think differently but it happens
The church said it was an evil weed cuz i stopped being a Christian after i became a Buddhist
but is Buddhism bad cuz it changed me, because my family didn't like it?

I have two cousins who are def messed up... had very rich parents
One recons he is telepathic and his mind is connected to the link where metal joins minds and heres voices.
So yes it can mess up people.
other could be described as they go all the way to Austrailia then only stay in the crummy red light district hostels drinking and doing dope and utterly boring.
Practically everyone I know has tried it... most realise its a boring waste of time, full of harmful tabbaco and gorw out of it. Many becoming total hypocrits.
However it is a lot stronger then it used to be in hippy and seventys times.
its a bit like you having a crwam cake or a shandy.
One wont do much harm... but if 20 times the strenght trying to eat 20 cream cakes or 20 shandies does do harm.
First sign to look for is any family history of mental ilness. If so stay off drugs

Pot smoking is believed to cause low birth weight and increases her risk for a c-section. It is also believed to cause neurological problems to the fetus. THC does cross the placenta into the baby's blood stream that's a fact and you can find all kinds of proof of that on the web to show her. I think the morning sickness excuse is just her way of trying to justify smoking. If she claims that's her only reason, then she shouldn't continue to smoke when the morning sickness goes away.

ok so heres my story. i started smokeing pot in 6th grade. during my freshmen year of high school i had to do a debate on lealizing weed. what i found shocked me. of course putting something in your body thats not supposed to be there is not the best thing but it wont kill you. many of the things DARE or whatever tells you is myths propaganda and BS! if you want to know the comlpete truth about any drug legal ot not go to www.erowid.com oh and if you smoke weed you wont go crazy. this is a myth too. the claim is that you have an increased chance of mental illlness if you already had the illness in past generations. so if you dad was ill and you took drugs you MIGHT have an INCREASED CHANCE of becomeing ill. this is very rare and i have never seen it happen

Yes, for heavy users, it can be. I am not against medical marijuana. Some people smoke it occasionally. Just as I don't favour sitting on a beach all day covered in baby oil, I don't smoke pot. Think of cancer, emphasema and bronchitis. No thanks. It doesn't mean I never go outside. It's your life. Be aware of the risks.
I never met a severe pothead who wasn't mental and out of it with some fairy-tale vision of life based on no work, sleeping on beaches, sleeping with others for money and food and no concept of the future.

It's more dangerous than it used to be.
I stopped smoking cannabis when skunk flooded the market because it's just too strong.
Personally, I think that moderate experimentation with drugs (especially the "natural" ones, cannabis and mushrooms) threw a few switches in my mind that enabled me to think in more of a broad spectrum - but that's just one tool and by no means necessary. You can achieve similar ends by practising meditation.
Putting anything in your lungs other than air is bad for you, cannabis contains more tar than tobacco.
I'm pleased to see cannabis is being developed for medical use though.

my ex-partner was an addict after years of dealing with his mental problems/paranoia I believe cannabis really is dangerous.
The paranoia was the worst and was over such petty matters. For example a letter he was expecting wouldn't arrive, it would then escalate to neighbours stealing them, to try and "get him" and so on. Some of his paranoia spilled over into my work life (and I was the only one working) and nearly cost me my job.
He was disloyal to everyone, friends, family and eventually drove every one away.
Cannabis was the most important thing in his life, and still is.

It is ABSOLUTELY dangerous...extremely. It makes one lazy and complacent. It also leads to more harmful drugs. I've seen it. 15 years ago, I was married to a drug addict. He started out on weed, then he progressed angel dust, then by the time our marriage ended, he was shooting up coke.
Don't let anyone tell u that it is a harmless drug. No drug is harmless. It is designed to destroy and kill lives.

NO... Pot is not that dangerous. People just need somethig to fight against. It does chemically alter your mind, and excessive use can dramaticaly affect a person, similarly to alcohol. It is a little more otent than alcohol, but along the same lines. The problem is, most people who smoke pot don't knwo when to say when. This is when it becomes a problem.
