The grass is always greener on the other side? They truly believe the US is evil? They live in some sort of la la land where they think holding hands and wishing away bad people will make everything all right? They are naive, or stupid, enough to have really believed France and Russia didnt go into Iraq because of some moral outrage against war, ha ha ha, and not their own selfish oil contract with Hussein issues? They actually think the Chinese gvt is less corrupt and better to their people then the US???

Pick any of these or hundreds of other ludicrious non logical scenarios and a lib somewhere probably actually believes it. I wish the libs for 2 seconds could truly picture an entire world where all the people are protected with the same basic Constitutional rights that americans have, along with the ability to live peacefully side by side with sooo many diff people with diff backgrounds, cultural influences and religions as americans. Think of the technological and medical advancements patent rights and protection of businesses has brought us over a relatively short history. Look at how in the lasst hundred years no matter how many wars we have fought and won in or people we have helped liberated we havent taken their land or resources, in fact just the opposite, we have spent trillions to help other nations booster their economies and all we really want in return are open markets because that benefits us the most.

This world would actually be a pretty darn great place if all nations could be modeled after that of the US. Clearly we are doing something right in contrast to nations that have existed thousands of years before us but still practically live in the stone age.

For the same reason that radical feminists support fundamentalist Islam that oppresses women - they care more about their ideology than actually being even-handed, or even standing up for universal values. They are also aware, but would never admit, that if they were even a tenth as vociferous against these countries or Muslims as they are at their own country, then they would not live very long.

If you are talking about liberals in the US -- it's because they care about what their own country is doing far more than they care about what other independent countries are doing.

We only have the legal right to tell our own govt what to do -- we cannot force other countries to sell or not sell. So, the people in the US (liberal or otherwise) would naturally be more concerned with who our own govt is selling to -- because that's something we can affect
