I have had several breast cysts, in fact I have a form Fibrocystic breast disease which means I can get them quite easily. I am glad you have an appointment with your Dr. but I will try to easy your mind by letting you know a couple things, first of all, wearing a tight bra with material that doesn't breathe in the summer can cause red, swollen bumps that are sore to the touch. They are just ingrown hairs (yes you have tiny hairs under there lol) or aggravated pores due to not being able to breathe properly. Cysts often appear suddenly like this which could be a type of aggravate pimple or a fluid filled sac caused be a variety of hormonal factors. Both of these situations will usually resolve themselves with time. I honestly feel that it is a cyst or aggravated pore that you have developed as most breast lumps that turn out to be cancer etc don't manifest themselves in this way and when they do it is usually over time. The worst possible scenario is if you have a cyst the Dr. will drain it and give you advice on how to avoid them in future like wearing breathable fabrics and not smoking (yes smoking is linked to breast cysts lol) I have had several now and while that take some time to heal you will be OK, I know it is scary you will pull thru I promise. Good Luck

You either have a cyst or an infected lymph node.

Don't panic about cancer. These are not the symptoms at all.

They can treat this by draining it with a fine needle if it needs it. And anti-biotics.

I know it's hard to stay calm in a situation like this, so I hope this helps.

For now take 2 paracetamol to ease the pain and some swelling.
Good luck.

Hey nc,
You don't need to panic. A huge majority of breast cysts are benign. Caffeine can cause a lot of false alarms...It could be a multitude of things including a spider bight or an allergic reaction to something your body didn't like. It's great that you're getting it looked at and the good news is that they can see you tomor.AM so you don't have to wait long.My sister's been where you are, I've been where you are and we both had plain old bumps/cysts that went away on their own.Prayer helped me a lot and staying busy helped get my mind off of it.

Don't panic it can be a pimple, i have a oily skin and get pimple all over my body on strange places. on my breast as well and it also red and hurts, but after a few days it will go away by it self, just don't scratch or don't touch that often, that's what will make it worst.

It could also be a pimple. I discovered a pimple on the underside of my left breast while in the shower. It was quite small but still enough I could feel it.

its probably infection....
u may be asked to strip feeled the breast and vagina
ask him to if the doc doesnt female docs are hesistant to examine bottoms so go to male....(from my personal experience)

a needle maybe inserted into lump then probably u have to wait for result .as results come u get to know what it is exactly and treatment is planned...called an fine needle aspiration cytology(fnac)
i live with a lump its left as harmless by my doc so all lumps dont need to be operated.

guess this helps
