honestly, i don't have all that many friends. i would say i mostly have "acquaintances, that i like" .
acquaintances , you don't have to give up too much of yourself. so.. since i have major trust issues, i have lots of very well liked Acquaintences, both in real life and online, but not so many "friends"
my husband ♥ is my friend . my daughter ♥ is my friend(even tho i don't see her as much as i'd like to)
my cats and dog are my friends. (altho, sometimes i see TOO much of them ;)
I guess ,maybe, it's a good thing i don't have more of them, huh? I'd have to get a bigger house. ; )
there IS a difference, tho. With online ones, you can leave them "whenever" and when you come back they will be there waiting for you.
in reallife ,sometimes ppl get pissy if you take off in the middle of things. ;)
Computer Buddies let you "march to the beat of your own drum" ,a bit more easily. i think.

It's totally different, my friends on-line know a side of me that my friends in the real world might never know. I guess when it comes down to it, there are things I've been able to share here that my friends I hang out with would not have been able to understand or I just wouldn't feel comfortable sharing with. So, I guess I do value you more :) See, my "friends" in the real world, their way of having fun is going out drinking and getting wasted, have no respect for their girlfriends, want to be out partying all the time and I'm tired of that life style which is why I spend more time in here

I value my real life friends more. I care for my online friends as well, and can sometimes even confide in them more so than my real life friends, but I think that is because of the great feeling of anonymity. However, my real life friends, have been there for me and with me through fun and bad times, and I actually physically spend time with them, so they win.

I only have one real online friend and I value his friendship just as I would value a personal friendship.

I definitely do. It's hard to believe I haven't met many of my online friends because they seem just as real (and definitely just as valued) as my "real" friends!

of cos i will always value my real frens in person rather than online frens. at least you get to see your real frens in person whereas online type frens r alittle different. but of cos not everybody will think the same as i do. this is just my opinion..
