Ozone is an allotrope of oxygen. It has the formula O3, and is used in the sterilisation of water supplies.
It is a powerful oxidising agent, and is toxic.
It has a bent structure.
It is formed during electrical discharges, and can be smelled when, for example, you use an electric drill.

ozone is a layer of ozone gas. it do not have any structure.
it helps in protecting the earth by harmful ultra-violet radiations. it traps these radiations..

It stays upper layer of atmosphere.It also can be use as a clearing water mixture.ozonnic water.
