I don't know if America is ready for "a woman" president. I mean, which woman are we talking about here? Don't be so coy, let's narrow it down a little. I mean there's so many women running for president right now, it could be almost anybody. And while we are on the subject, are we ready for "a black" president? Because if we aren't, then someone has to get on the phone and dial up all the black candidates, one at a time, until each and every one of them has been notified that America is racist. That could take hours, given the staggering numbers of black people running for president. You also have to wonder if America is ready for a Mormon president. I didn't know the Mormons were running for president. That's a lot of people. I wonder if America is "ready" for a vague person of any given gender or ethnicity to be president. New slogan: Person for president in some year.

I'd prefer a specific candidate, but why not make it about voting for a gender or race instead?

It seems that our country's political mood has changed. You have more voters that claim they are moderates than ever before. This is the reason Clinton has been trying to convince us that she is a moderate. Look long and hard at her voting record and you will see there is nothing moderate about her. She is as leftist as any good commucrat can be. Obama and Edwards have stuck with the leftist elite. That's where the fab people are and that is where they want to be seen. Forget them. Their voting records show their commucrat training is intact.

I guess, yes....America is ready for a woman president. In the past years, the country is reigned by male presidents and history proves that they are all doing well in their respective terms of office. By this time, a country must also need to see what a woman can do in and can prove to the nation that she is capable to show off what is there for her in the future.

I will be voting for a caucasian male just to be sure someone does. My vote goes to Senator Joe Biden for the simple reason that he is the most knowledgable, authentic, candid, qualified and sincere candidate running.

With Joe Biden, you get the President you thought you were voting for.

Look at it this way -- India elected a woman president.

And they've allowed women to vote for a lot less time than we have here in the US.

But I do agree with the point you are raising, and would definitely support "Person for president in some year."

A woman pres or any pres for that matter is fine. Proof of their intent and knowledge is what I'm looking for. Not just the ability to make the most money.

Ideas and character are more important than the superficialities of race and sex. That being said, I don't respect Hillary's ideas and I believe her character leaves much to be desired.
