N2 is a really small, light, non-polar molecule with extremely low attractive Van der Walls' forces, so it has a low boiling point, and is a gas.
As the size of the molecules increases (phosphorus is P4 and so on) the size of these attractice forces increases, and so does melting point and boiling point.
