The union files a notice of strike and it will be published for you to know.

I think it depends on whereabouts in the country you are.

However, our postman who delivers to work in London NW2 told us yesterday that:

31st July the Sorting Office is on strike
1st August the network drivers will be on strike (those who move the post between depots)
2nd August the collection and delivery drivers will be on strike

Not sure if its the same around the country, but your best bet is to get the info from someone in your area. Last week the information given on Royal Mail website was completely incorrect for us, and even when I called Customer Services the information they provided was incorrect.

Yes, the lazy scumbags are on strike again.

I'd sack the lot of them.

This is what the Royal Mail say.....

We anticipate that all Mail Centres will be on official strike on Tuesday 31st July
Customers may continue to post items, as usual, on this day but we recommend posting in post boxes outside of Post Offices
All Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) and our network drivers will be on strike on Wednesday 1st August
We regret that there will be limited delivery services on Thursday 2nd August
Collections on Thursday 2nd August will be limited to a single collection from post boxes outside of Post Offices. These collections may be earlier than the normal advertised times

depends where you live , the strikes are now staggered. the chief royal mail boss allan leighton is in canada, shows how much he cares about this service to the public, but then he would reply , adam crozier is in control , the reject they turfed out of the FA.

They are around here. Support them or chances are your post next year will be delivered by a DHL courier, and you'll have to pay through the nose for it.
