When i first downloaded google earth was about 2 yrs ago, when i first experienced the internet.
I put in the postcode of the house and was zoomed down to the roof. Brilliant I thought (the postcode is B98 7HQ).
you try

Since then i have moved, had a new computer, and decided to download the latest version of google earth.
As i needed to find a company which was local to the postcode i have given, imagine my suprise to find that the house does'nt exist yet, the land is all ready for them to go up.
I know that the house exists because my house was the one right next door to the factory.
Also if anyone knows Redditch at all and they have got the latest version of google earth, they will have noticed that Burger King does not exist on the Blockbusters carpark.
It seems that these are very old maps, it causes probs when you give someone your postcode and half the places don't exist.
I want the old google maps back, anyone got them

you do not download the maps when you download google earth, the maps are being downloaded in real time when you view them. so it does not matter if you get an older version of google maps/earth. the maps you get are going to be the ones made available through google.

I would of thought that you would have downloaded the same maps as you had last time.
The age of the images on Google Earth are anything between 3 and 5 years old.
strange to think that they have actually gone backwards.

what you're seeing on Google Earth is out of date.
