Don't stop talking, but try to keep it even. For example if your spoken to, talk back with a direct answer and stay on topic. Remember to keep your amount of words even with the person your talking to so nobody will complain. Oh and try letting others be the center of attention too.

Make an effort to stop at the end of a point your making and breathe....... I find when i do this my brain has time to catch up to what I'm actually saying and then during the time other people can talk and then your actually moving from a monologue to a real conversation..

I used to have that problem when I was younger.. and I was super loud! lol you just need to start spending some time alone.. reading listening to music.. but no talking.. gradually you will get used to not talking so much. You just need to try to catch yourself while you are talking.. only tell people highlights and important parts of a story but not the entire thing.. it gets boring to listen to.

Do you think before you speak or do you jsut randomly blurt out meaningless comments into the air ?
Next time you speak think - is this relevant? is there a point? Will this make a contribution to the conversation or situation? does the person need to hear this? If your answer is no bite your tongue :p

I don't have real advice to give you on this problem, because I talk too much too - always have - pretty sure that I always will.
One benefit of talking too much is that when you are angry or upset and you don't talk at all - it scares the daylights out of those around you!

just think this before you talk : Is what I'm about to say going to make an impact (make someone laugh, prove a point... etc). If the answer is no, and it's just blaber. Then just don't say what you were about to say ! simple as that

Learn to think about what you are going to say before saying it. If it sounds like too much in your mind, it probably is.

develop the habit of listening now. sometimes it is better to listen more than talking. when they ask for your opinion then that's the time you push the button.
