I am buying a house, not brand new, and I was wondering what I can do if I find mice. I know people are gonna say get a cat or call an exterminator, but can I file a complaint with the realtor? I have a problem with mice in my current home and plan on leaving it when I move into my new one.

You need to get a pest and home inspection. The Realtor is never responsible for the condition of the house....as these options are available to you to make sure the house is sound.

Mice generally do not stay in an area where they cannot find food...an infestation will always be temporary, but if they find a food source, you'll never get rid of them.

Dog food, cat food, and bird seed, left out, dishes, bread, rolls rice...if they can get into it, they'll set up house.

You can set traps, baits, and other methods by which to trap or exterminate the little rodents. Mice are a fact of life on this planet, and will infest just about any residence if possible.

A decade back, we built our current residence, and the mice moved in before we did. It takes but the tiniest of openings for a mouse to gain entry.

This is not a complaint for a realtor OR for the previous owner of the home, unless there is a sizeable population living there of which they had knowledge and did not inform you.

I think a home inspection, should reveal mice....Yeah file a complaint w/ the company your buying the house from, then file another one w/ yourself for having mice, in your old house.........

I would confront the realtor. If I was you I would do
1)"I am NOT purchasing this house if it has mice in it, either get rid of the mice, or I dont buy" (but be nicer about it, lol)
OR
2)"There are mice in the home so I am going to offer $$$$$$ (take it down in price a little and take care of them yourself).
I hope its a nice house!

in the beginning you're fortunate that's in simple terms mice or small rodents as my cat extra the continues to be of a rabbit living house a pair of weeks in the past! particular, they are bringing you provides and probable prezzies for another. that's all element of the character of having cats i'm afraid and as you're like me and stay close to a field it extremely is a darn sight greater useful than having the rodents entering the living house for particular! we've a million/2 eaten ins and outs on our terrace on an incredibly much each and on a daily basis foundation and that i completely accept as true with the do no longer tell the cat off section because of the fact while we've shouted at Bobcat for bringing something in he in simple terms is going out and gets yet another one. As complicated because it extremely is to sound grateful to your cats for bringing you prezzies if that tact works and cuts down on the quantity of prezzies you get then shop doing that one. :)

IF you find mice? Are you a little paranoid? Make sure when you pack to move that the little critters don't stow away in some box.

call the PIED PIPER and they will follow him into the river and drown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but if you don't have a water source nearby than you will have to call a snake charmer and he will let out the snakes and they will swallow the mice, make sure you count the snakes let out and taken back else you will be looking for a mongoose to catch the snake?
