The first thing to do is to take the car and get the error codes read. The lights may or may not be related. You could have an entriely different problem with the engine. That would explain the rough idle. good luck.

The misfiring cylinder is inflicting the "no interest" dtc on the subject material of the 02 sensor as while a cylinder misfires, there is alot of oxygen interior the exhuast because of the fact the gasoline did no longer burn.that's what instruments a no interest code because of the fact the 02 sensor will study a lean condition because of the misfire. If the noid gentle replaced into put in to the #6 injector harness and purely flashed dim,you likely have a foul connection in that circuit between the injector and the engine controll module.Get a schematic and verify the resistance of the two those circuits.you additionally can briefly swap injector harnesses to make yet another harness fire #6 and notice if the misfire adjustments cylinders, you may might desire to apply a jumper harness to try this. If the resistance exams out stable, you will possibly have a susceptible motive force for #6 injector interior the engine administration module.

Yes and No.

I own 2000 Audi A4 (also German) and if my tail lights are out then it can signal special diagnostics to notify me. In similar way if I use some of the newer LED tail lights (lower wattage - same brightness) it can make the computer think the light is out.

But in your case I don't think so. You say your car is idling worse so I would think that would be the related reason.

But you don't have to guess. Just take the car to AutoZone (or many of the national auto parts dealers) and they'll scan the code for you. Then either they can recommend a fix or you can come back here to ask again. Anything else (like guessing) will just cost you time and money.

If you plan to own your car for a while (or own more than few cars), then it is a great idea to get a ODB2 scanner. They can be bought at AutoZone or Sears as low as $50 on sale (or even cheaper online). Not only do they scan and read the code, they can reset them when if have the problem fixed / repaired.

Good Luck
