An aeronaut is a person who travels or navigates in the air. Aeronauts could be balloonists or airplane pilots. In my opinion they could also be aerial navigators.

hmmm.. im not 100% positive, but if a cosmonaut is a space explorer, an aeronaut would probably be a pilot or some1 who does something in the air

They are scientists.Sometimes they had to work in space so that's why they are called aeronaut
