Bush administrations are in process of selling $20b worth weapons to saudi arabia, and aiding $30+ to isreal, and others...and they SAY it's not an attempt to get back oil (saudi's #1 export). They want to stabilize middle east and the powerful Iran by giving weapons to other countries. In other words, Iran is keeping US from doing what they want in middle east, so US will fund Iran's enemies.
ie: funding of Afghanistan (bin laden) to ward off communist Russia
Is this a bad idea? Is this helping our image? more importantly, can this back fire and set up more wars in middle east?

Do the math. This works out to $719 per year per Israeli over a 10 year period and it works out to $81 per year per Saudi over a ten year period. The funds expended will subsidize the fighter aircraft manufacturing facility located in Fort Worth, Texas.

The only hope in this picture is the Israeli Knesset received a report that Jews will represent 42% of the population demographics of Israel by the year 2020.

The citizens of Israel are the world's most precious humans on earth, receiving approximately $20,000 a year, per citizen in economic assistance from the USA. Why? Nobody knows. It's classified. It's hidden deeply within the budget. The government doesn't want to divulge the exact figures.

Both of these countries are our allies. The Saudi of course have been know to sell to others as "aide" while the Israels have not used any of these products of war other then against enemies.
Because a country is strong and able to defend itself, does this mean that it's the enemy? I think not.
Under the conditions Israel has had to defend itself since 1947 I have to go along with them.

Look at both sides of the coin, then come to a conclusion.

Absolutely not. Israel has proven down the years that it doesn't use these weapons to defend itself, it uses them to attack Palestinians and neighbouring countries.

It is all about oil. Relations with the Saudis have soured so a little bribe of arms will help secure the oil for a few more years. Never mind its an undemocratic country ruled by powerful oil barons and a corrupt House of Saud. The US will ignore brutal dictators when it suits them (witness Musharraf in Pakistan). Tooling up Egypt and Israel will help protect the oil in Iraq, and in Iran if the bloodthirsty neo-cons get their way.

All very sad for the region, and all very sad for Americans.

They are indeed tooling up Egypt. The US is building arsenals in Egypt like the three we have in the US. This is to prevent the Saudis from accepting only Euros for the oil instead of US dollars! Why anyone would provide anything to the israelis unless it's because they use the intel to blackmail our politicians and influence their votes.
