Nvidia GeForce 8500GT or ATI Radeon X700 Pro?

X700 Pro is getting outdated. 8500GT is future proof for now and it has superior digital video capability.

The 8500GT has the advantage of being TWO generations ahead of the x700 pro. However, the x700 pro was mid-high end in it's time, but, usually newer generations see 25% performance gain or more. In this case, the 8500GT wipes the floor with the x700 pro. The 8600GT is much better, but if you are on a budget, I would get the 8500GT. Alternatively, you could get the 7600GT, which is a tiny bit better than the 8500GT, but not Directx10 compatible.

8500gt. However I suggest stepping it up to a 8600 series. Simply so much better.

8500GT is but theres better cards out there like the 8600 or Radeon 2600XT
