my friend was at a field trip with me and i said why cant i go over there at least once and she said that her brother likes me and hes 16 and im whay younger but i dont believe her i need to know what u think...

I think you shouldn't be hanging around her house. I remember a friend I had who had an older brother, and only one of us friends would hang out over there. Funny, she ended up pregnant . .. .

Sounds like she may be telling you the truth. She's concerned that her brother may do something inappropriate and she is protecting you.
I'm not sure how much younger you are, but if you are really much younger than 16 and he does "like" you...the guy has issues.
Your friend clearly enjoys your family and spending time with you.
For now, taking her word for it is probably a good decision.

Re-ask the question why you can't come over. If she says the same thing, its probably true (but who knows, there might be another reason). It would be really akward having ur friends brother stalking u (if he does like u) when u come over. And i bet ur friend doesn't want u to date her brother. when u want to go over to her house, just make sure her brother is gone, or just keep inviting her to your own house. atleast ur spending time together and hanging out.

Maybe she doesn't want you to see her house. Maybe she thinks that her house is boring. She probably has a good reason just ask her to please tell you what's up and why you can't go to her house. Tell her that she can tell you. I know one of my friends didn't want to have me over to her house because she thought we'd have more fun at my house and was embarrassed by her siblings. there is probably a reason and if you don't care about that reason if she tells you then maybe you can go there next time!

i think that if she thinks her brother likes you then she might think it was gross for her best friend to be with her brother. or she might want you for herself. it sounds like she is nice and just doesnt want you being younger to be with her own brother. there also may be something else that she just isnt comfortable saying to you.

Maybe you have more interesting things to do at your house or maybe there is problems within her family which she is ashamed of.
