during my annual visit the doctor pointed out a lump. he ordered an ultrasound and it came out fine with no issues. the lump is not painful. it's the size of a quarter and hard as a knuckle. the doc still wants to see me again. my visit is in a few weeks. could this lump be completely innocuous and nothing to worry about? am i just going lumpy with age?

Even though all is ok with this lump right now it's necessary to keep seeing your doctor for monitoring in 6 months and beyond to make sure no changes that relate to cancer occur but if do can be caught early.

One of my family members was diagnosed with lobular invasive breast cancer and it's in two spots.
